Meeting of Ambassador Lampridis with the Chair of the Israel-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group of the 20th Knesset, ΜΚ Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin (17/9/2015)

ΜΚ Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin, descendant of a family of Greek Jews from Thessaloniki, visited the Embassy and met with Ambassador Spiros Lampridis, in her capacity as Chair of the Israel-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group of the 20th Knesset. The meeting was a most timely opportunity to discuss the wide scope of cooperation between Greece and Israel and to have a fruitful exchange regarding upcoming bilateral visits, as well as the prospects of further deepening the cooperation and friendship between the two countries, at political, economic and at civil society levels. Moreover, it was agreed that the two sides should work towards further enhancing cooperation between the two Parliaments and to regularly exchange views about developments in our common neighbourhood of the Eastern Mediterranean.
