Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Greece and Israel at the Secretary General/ Director General level

On November 15, 2022, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Greece and Israel held political consultations in Jerusalem at the Secretary General/ Director General level. Ambassadors T. Lalakos and A. Ushpiz respectively reviewed the full scope of relations between Greece and Israel and reaffirmed their excellent level. Next steps on practical cooperation in the fields of energy, defense and economy topped the agenda. Developments in the wider Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean, including trilateral cooperation with Cyprus and 3+1 with U.S. participation, were also discussed, along with other issues of common interest.

Secretary General Lalacos also visited the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem and was granted an audience by his Beatitude the Patriarch Theofilos III.
