Visit of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mr. Themistoklis Demiris in Jerusalem

On Thursday, October 7, Greek- Israeli political consultations were held in Jerusalem between the Secretary General of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mr. Themistoklis Demiris and the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Ambassador Mr. Alon Ushpiz. The two officials discussed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations on issues of common interest (energy, health, environment, civil protection, investments, trade, research and technology), while regional developments as well as ways of enhancing multilateral cooperation schemes also topped the agenda.

Secretary General Demiris, accompanied by the Ambassador of Greece in Israel Mr. Kyriakos Loukakis and the Consul General of Greece in Jerusalem Mr. Evangelos Vlioras, also visited the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and was received by His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III.
