In 1990, a UNESCO lead international initiative established a  global framework known as "Education For All" (EFA), stating that  all peoples should receive an elementary school education and also  be able to read and write.  14 years later, with only one year left until the deadline in 2015,  how far has the international community come?

For this ICC talk session we've invited Andreas Loverdos, the  Greek Minister of Education and Religious Affairs to speak about this pressing issue.

The home of philosophy and myths, Greece underwent an economic crisis  in 2009 which had a worldwide impact. But how can education affect  Greece's and also the world's social and economic recovery?

Don't miss this rare chance to hear from a distinguished foreign minister!
