Visit to Yoron Island, sister city of Mykonos, by Ambassador N. Tsamados (May 13- 15, 2013)

Ambassador Nikolaos Tsamados visited for the second time Yoron Island, sister city of Mykonos since 1984, on the occasion of the Day of Europe and the program “EU comes to your school” organized annually by the Delegation of the  European Union in Tokyo.

During his visit Ambassador Tsamados gave a lecture at the local high school, in front of an audience of 170 students, where he talked about Greece and the EU.

Later he met the officials of the island and all expressed their joy to be able to meet again after three years. 2014 marks the 30th anniversary of sisterhood between the two islands, which coincides with the assumption of the Greek presidency of the European Council.
