International Greek Language Day, Tokyo, 9.2.2024

On February 9, we celebrated in Tokyo, at the well-preserved authentic Japanese building that houses the Minato City Centre for Traditional Culture, the International Greek Language Day, an event that was well attended by scholars and the general public. Dr. Kosuke Fukuda of the Osaka University gave a lecture on the work, life and affinities of N. Kazantzakis’s with Japan. The event was accompanied by an exhibition of European calligraphy with phrases from ancient and modern Greek authors.
