Act of marriage

MARRIAGE REGISTRATION

To have a marriage registered with the Consular Office of the Embassy of Greece in Tokyo, the applicants must have been married in the Consular Office’s jurisdiction and submit the following documents:

1. Application to the Consular Office,
2. Original certificate of marriage of the interested parties from the Church or from the City Hall. We point out that the above certificate of marriage must include the   number of the marriages performed (first, second, etc.) for both husband and wife,
3.  Recent certificate of municipal registration (from the appropriate municipality in Greece) is required from each party,
4. Greek passport / ID.

The fee for an act of marriage is €1.00 (Presidential Decree 116, 30.04.2006, Government Gazette 96, Volume I). The cost for each copy is €1.00. There will be 2 copies required therefore the total cost will be €3.00.
