Civil marriage at Consular Office

CIVIL MARRIAGE AT THE CONSULAR OFFICE

A Greek citizen may present at the Consular Office after appointment in order to conduct a civil wedding.

Requirements:
- Application to the Consular Office of the Embassy of Greece in Japan,
- Valid passport / Greek ID,
- Permission to be married by the Greek Municipality where he/she is registered,
- Act of Birth or certificate of registration to a Municipality,
- Copy of Marriage announcement to a local Greek newspaper, where the names of the interested persons and their place of birth, names of family and place of realizing the marriage are stipulated.
