Humanitarian Drive

The Greek Embassy in Amman, in cooperation with the Middle East Council of Churches,  distributed school stationery to 200 Syrian and Iraqi Refugee children as well as to Jordanian children in need.The first distribution took place on Sunday, Oct.4th   at the Mar Afram Syrian Orthodox Church in Swefiya and the second distribution took place the same day  at the Armenian Catholic Church.

The afore mentioned events subscribe in the humanitarian support of the Embassy of Greece in Amman to children in need, while underlining the central role that education plays in one’s life. We must return to the youth of Syria and Iraq the right to dream and to lead a different life. Otherwise they will not fight for peace and reconstruction of their perspective countries. They should not by any means become “the lost generation”.
