Repatriation of Greek and European citizens from Amman

The Greek Embassy announces the launch of an emergency repatriation flight from Amman on April 30, 2020. The flight was operated by Aegean Airlines and was boarded by Greeks and some European citizens. The Greek Embassy has been designated as a starting point for the citizens residing in Amman. Another group of Greeks in Shobak, near the Petra archeological site, were transported directly to Amman International Airport.

All the movements of the Greek citizens took place with the care of the Embassy either by rented minibuses or by the official car of the Embassy.

The whole operation went smoothly and the passengers of the emergency flight safely left for Athens.
