The Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in Amman offers one (1) position for a Personal Assistant to the Ambassador. This full term position for a two-year period, under private law contract, aimes at providing general support duties for the operations of the Mission, as follows:
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
1. Minimum age of 27.
2. They must be permanent residents of Jordan, with Greek or Jordanian nationality. Other nationalities may be considered, provided they have valid residence and work permits in Jordan.
3. They must have excellent knowledge of Arabic and English. Knowledge of additional languages will be considered as an asset.
4. Relevant professional experience and prior service in a similar position, which includes full proficiency (among others) in all secretarial tasks: managing the Ambassador's schedule, preparing and handling documents, organizing meetings/events, preparing related files and working documents, handling correspondence, and communication/liaison skills with Authorities and Services, administrative support to the Embassy staff and email management, effective management of deadlines, verifying and coordinating actions with Embassy colleagues.
5. At least a high school diploma or an equivalent secondary education diploma. Additional higher education degrees or studies will be highly valued. Likewise, general qualifications (work experience, organizational/communication skills) will also be considered.
6. Full proficiency in using a computer and experience with social media platforms.
7. They must possess seriousness, discretion, excellent communication skills, as well as coordination and organizational abilities, especially regarding the adherence to deadlines. They must be willing, hardworking, and team-oriented.
8. Male Greek citizens must have completed their military obligations or have been lawfully exempted.
9. They must have a clean criminal record.
The successful candidate, if Greek national, will have the right to choose the Greek social security. The social security regime for Jordanian nationals will be governed by local legislation. Employer's social security contributions will, in any case, be covered by the Greek State.
