Turkana visit by EU Ambassadors and representatives

The Ambassador of Greece, Mr. Kouvaritakis, along with the Heads of Mission and representatives of other EU member states accredited to Kenya, made a two day visit to the county of Turkana, on the 4th and 5th of November.  Turkana is a county in the northeast of Kenya that has been struggling with the problems of poverty, and crime. The county is also the place of refuge for thousands of refugees coming in from South Sudan and Somalia.
The Ambassadors visited the refugee camp of Kakuma and project sites, near Lodwar, funded by EU development aid. During their stay, a further 335 billion KShs was promised in development aid in order to combat poverty and support sustainable growth.
