Foreign Minister N. Kotzias meets with the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in the framework of the 4th EU-Arab League Ministerial Meeting (Cairo, 20 December 2016)

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias today met with the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in the framework of the 4th EU-Arab League Ministerial Meeting, in Cairo.

During the meeting, there was a discussion of international and regional issues, with emphasis on the prevailing situation in the Middle East. The Kuwaiti Minister expressed his appreciation for Greece's constructive role in a series of issues of regional importance, commending its stance on the developments in Libya and Egypt. Sheikh Al-Sabah also referred to the potential for further development of bilateral relations and the prospects for enhancing the cooperation between the two states in new sectors.

Mr. Kotzias briefed his counterpart on Greece's "Rhodes Conference for Security and Stability" initiative and invited Sheikh Al-Sabah to take part in the second meeting of the Rhodes Conference configuration, which is scheduled to take place next May.
