Screening of a Greek movie regarding the Greeks in Auschwitz-Birkenau

Οn Friday, January 25, 2019 at 16:45, in the framework of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is scheduled the screening of  a 20-minute movie bearing the title "Greeks in Auschwitz-Birkenau" .

The twenty minutes duration film is included in the MFA publication “Greeks in Auschwitz – Birkenau”  edited by Photini Tomai – Constantopoulou, Head of Diplomatic and Historical Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Greece,  and narrates the story of those heroes who fought against their warders beyond hope decided to die with dignity, for a few minutes of freedom.

The screening of the movie will take place in E.U. House (Aspazijas Bulv. 28, Riga). Those wishing to participate are kindly requested to send confirmation to the e-mail address of the Embassy
