Celebration of the Greek National Day of 25th March

On the occasion of the Greek National Day, 25th March, a Te Deum was celebrated at the Church of Annunciation (Achrafieh) by His Eminence, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Elias (Aude), in the presence of members of the crew of the  Hellenic Navy Frigate ”Nikiforos Fokas”, which participates in the UNIFIL mission.

Following the religious ceremony, a reception took place at the Hellenic Navy Frigate ”Nikiforos Fokas”, with the support of the Greek Community, where more than 350 representatives from the Greek Diaspora in Lebanon as well as prominent members of the lebanese society were present. The Ambassador of Greece in Lebanon, Franciscos Verros during his address congratulated the Hellenic Forces for their strength and their presence in international peace missions like UNIFIL, contributing thus to world peace, global stability and prosperity. Ambassador Verros highlighted as well the cordial relations between Greece and Lebanon, which date since antiquity.
