Screening of the Greek film “KAZANTZAKIS” by Yannis Smaragdis, on Friday 25 January at 19:30

The Embassy of Greece in Lebanon has the pleasure to announce the screening of the Greek film

“KAZANTZAKIS” by Yannis Smaragdis,

on Friday 25 January at 19:30 at Metropolis Empire Cinema.

The film aims to present the personality of Nikos Kazantzakis (1883-1957), the internationally renowned Greek author of "Zorba the Greek", among others, as well as the enchanting scenery of Greece that molded him into the man he became. Kazantzakis used to say that his life is defined by his journeys and his dreams, and through his travels to Germany, Austria, Russia, France and Mount Sinai, the movie sheds light on his philosophical and metaphysical quests.

The film will be rescreened on Friday 1st February at 17:30.
