Announcement from Consulate General of Greece in Benghazi

The Consulate General of Greece in Benghazi announces that, from SUNDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2023, Schengen visas for Greece are handled through the Greece Visa Application Center (VAC) in Benghazi, managed by VFS Global.The official Service Provider for Greece in Libya is GLOBAL VISA CENTER WORLD (HELLAS) and its subcontractor in Libya is VFS Global.

All electronic appointments for the Greece VAC in Benghazi must be made only through GVCW’s website:

The website contains information on application, required documents, fees, working days and hours, the Call Center telephone number and its email address.For the time being information is in English, and it will be in Arabic soon. However, the list of required documents is in Arabic.

On the day of the appointment, applicants must present themselves at the above-mentioned address having with them all the required original documents.

The Consulate General of Greece in Benghazi reminds that all submissions of visa applications or passport collection from the Visa Application Center must be done personally by the applicants themselves. Submission of visa application and passport collection is forbidden to be done through any mediator, representative, relatives or tourist agent. The only exception is for parents with children under legal age. Any child under legal age must be present, with his or her parents, for the submission of the application.
