Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis to attend a meeting of the EU General Affairs Council (Luxembourg, 15 October 2019)

Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will travel to Luxembourg on Tuesday, 15 October, to attend a meeting of the EU General Affairs Council.

The meeting is expected to focus on preparations for the upcoming European Council meeting, EU enlargement in the Western Balkans, and the drawing up of the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework.

Also to be discussed are the procedure for the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union, the migration issue, and the need to adopt climate-change policies.
