Cultural Relations and Greek Community

Greek-Netherlands educational relations are regulated by the Educational Agreement of 21 April 1953, which is implemented through Executive Programmes.

The Netherlands Scientific Institute of Athens is active in archaeology, publications and cultural activities, while the University of Amsterdam has Modern Greek Studies department.

According to the Netherlands Statistics Service, approximately 26.000 Greeks are registered in the Netherlands and according to the estimate of the Embassy the total number of Greeks is  35.000.
