Joint Statement following meeting of S.G. for Int. Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I. Brachos, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Macedoni

Τhe Secretary General for International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Ioannis Brachos, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Viktor Dimovski, met today in Thessaloniki.

Having initiated the work of the International Group of Experts of the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of North Macedonia on commercial names, trademarks and brand names, both sides concurred with and laid the political foundations to have its first plenary session convened in June. In the same vein, we signed and dispatched letters to the EU IPO and WIPO respectively, inviting them to nominate experts so as to advise ad hoc the said “International Group”.

This solid step, inextricably linked with the institutionalized business communities’ dialogue, is tangible evidence of our countries’ full commitment to the “Prespa Agreement” and to our sustained engagement in deepening cooperation to the benefit of bilateral ties and to the region as a whole.
