COVID-19 Travel to Norway

Wednesday, 01 September 2021

To limit the number of imported cases of COVID-19, restrictions still apply for foreign nationals who wish to enter Norway. If you are among those who can travel to Norway(please check Travel to Norway - regjeringen.no), you must familiarize yourself with the requirements that apply.

-If you are fully vaccinated or you have had COVID-19 during the preceding six months and can document this via a valid digital COVID-19 certificate (linked to the EU-specific system), you are exempted from the duty to quarantine, testing in advance or at the border and the need to complete the registration form.  This applies to digital COVID-19 certificates from the EU/EEA countries and Switzerland.

-If you are not vaccinated or you haven’t have had COVID-19 in the past six months, you will need to:
•    Complete the registration form prior to travelling (entrynorway.no).
•    Present documentation of a negative test result for the coronavirus taken less than 24 hours prior to entry.
•    Undergo testing upon arrival in Norway.
•    Enter a 10 days quarantine period.

Greece remains as a “red country” (required quarantine at home), except for Crete, South Aegean and Ionian islands, which are “dark red” regions (stay in a quarantine hotel).

In case you wish to travel to Norway for work and in order to avoid any trouble at the border, you are advised to make sure before your trip that you meet the requirements to enter the country.
