20th Session of the Standing Committee on the Law of Patents (27-31/01/2013)

The 20th Session of the Standing Committee on the Law of Patents (SCP) began its works on the 27th of January 2014 at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) headquarters.

The topics under discussion are (a) Exceptions and limitations to patent rights, (b) Quality of patents, including opposition systems, (c) Patents and health, (d) Confidentiality of communications between clients and their patent advisors and (e) Transfer of technology.

The Greek Presidency delivered relevant statements as regards the above topics reflecting the position of the EU and its member states. The main priority of the Presidency during the 20th session is to favour the fruitful continuation of discussions and secure a balanced and comprehensive package.
