27th HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL - MEETING WITH DELEGATION REPRESENTING ALL CHRISTIAN DOGMAs
In the framework of the 27^th Human Rights Council (Geneva, 8-26/9/2014) the Permanent Representative Ambassador Alexandros Alexandris held a meeting, on 17 September, with a Delegation composed of representatives of all Christian Dogmas, mainly those residing in the Middle East area.
During the meeting the two sides exchanged views on the issues of: a) Christians current situation in the broader Middle East territory b) the criminal actions and the outrages of called “Islamic State” in the name of a distorted notion of religion c) the ongoing threats against and persecution of Christian communities in Iraq and Syria d) the need for an international emergency plan to protect the Christians of Middle East e) possible instruments of counter-reaction in the framework of International Law and Human Rights protection International Institutions.
