''All Equal Cup'' football tournament

On the occasion of the Human Rights Day on the 10th of December, the Permanent Mission of Greece has co-organized along with the OHCHR and the Permanent Mission of Slovakia, the EU Delegation's ''All Equal Cup'' a football tournament *on football tournament * against all forms of discrimination.We thank the EU Delegation for inviting us to cooperate on this important event.

We would like to thank particularly, the colleagues of the Permanent Missions of Australia, Austria, Guatemala, Japan, OIF, Slovakia who participated to the ''cross regional'' and ''gender balanced'' Human Rights Expert Team formed by our Mission as well as the football legend Christian Karembeu who accepted the invitation to come to the event and join our team.

As Ambassador Alexandris mentioned in an interview following the event, Greece in the context of the resolution ''Promoting Human Rights through Sport and the Olympic Ideal'' initiated by a cross regional group of countries in the Human Rights Council and beyond that, will continue to actively promote the fight against all forms of discrimination, which unfortunately still persist in sport but also in many areas of human activities worldwide.
