Donation of a replica of a Cycladic idol to the United Nations

On the 5th of March 2014, Greece was particularly proud to proceed to donation of a unique replica of a cycladic statuette to the United Nations in Geneva.

It is the first time Greece proceeds to such a donation andthis gift represents our unabated commitment to the UN system as well as our persistent and relentless support to the works of the Human Rights Council since its foundation.

The artwork was placed in one of the most central positions of the Palais des Nations, facing the "Human Rights and Alliance of Civilizations Room", where the Human Rights council holds its meetings.
