International Labour Organization welcomes the reactivation of social dialogue in Greece
Greek Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity Panagiotis Skourletis met the ILO Director-General, Mr. Guy Ryder on 15 May 2015 in Geneva to discuss enhancing the framework of their further collaboration.
The ILO warmly welcomed the reactivation of social dialogue in Greece and particularly appreciated the new efforts of the Government of Greece and its social partners to move towards the promotion of collective bargaining, including through the on-going legislative efforts aiming at conformity with international labour standards.
The Minister of Labour underlined that the on-going legislative efforts of the Greek government aim at restoring normality to the Greek labour relations, in so doing fully respecting the European core labour standards and the ILO’s institutional framework.
