Meeting of H.E. Ambassador Alexandros Alexandris with UNECE Executive Secretary Sven Alkalaj, in the Palais des Nations, on January 13, 2014

Permanent Representative Ambassador Alexandros Alexandris met with the  Executive Secretary of UNECE, Mr Sven Alkalaj, accompanied by the Greek Deputy Permanent Representative Mrs Constantina Athanassiadou and the Counsellor in charge of UNECE issues, Mrs Rhea Tsitsani.

The discussion focused mainly on the way forward following the Reform of the Organization last April, with a particular emphasis on the priorities of the Greek Presidency during the first semester of 2014.The two sides, had a fruitful exchange of views and reaffirmed their commitment to a constructive relationship, while the Executive Secretary expressed his confidence in the ongoing cooperation with the EU.
