Meeting of Permanent Representative Ambassador Alexandros Alexandris with the new Secretary General of ITU Mr. Houlin Zhao (11.11.2014)

Permanent Representative Ambassador Alexis Alexandris met with the new Secretary General of ITU, Mr. Hulin Zhao, following the latter’s election in Busan (S. Korea). At the meeting, Mrs Paraskevi Nakiou, in charge of ITU issues in the Greek Mission and Mr. Olivier Testoni, of the Office of the Secretary General were present..

Ambassador Alexis Alexandris, was the first to congratulate Mr Zhao on his election. The discussion, which was held in a very friendly atmosphere, focused mainly on the successful outcome of Busan Plenipotentiary Conference. The meeting reinforced the excellent relations between the new Secretary General and Greece, whereas the two
sides explored the possibilities of further cooperation in the near future. Details of the Secretary General's upcoming visit to Greece and his scheduled meeting with the Prime Minister of Greece Antonis Samaras on December 5, 2014 was also discussed during this meeting.
