Meeting of the Permanent Representative, Ambassador Alexandros Alexandris with the Chief of Staff of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Mr Jagan Chapagain

This week, our Permanent Representative, Ambassador Alexandros Alexandris, had a meeting with the Chief of Staff of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Mr Jagan Chapagain.   Mr Alexandris stressed that our country and the whole of the Greek society  deeply respects and aknowledges   the humanitarian role of the Red Cross Movement worldwide. Our Permanent Representative also expressed the readiness of our country to keep working closely with the IFRC while Mr Chapagain praised the efforts of the volunteers of the Hellenic Red Cross. The two men also exchanged views on the current refugee and migration crisis in Europe and on ways to deal with it.
