Secretary-General for Research and Technology Dr. Christos Vasilakos visits CERN
The Secretary-General for Research and Technology, Dr. Christos Vasilakos, visited CERN on 3 and 4 to discuss a range of issues with his interlocutors at the Organization. More specifically, during the first day of his visit Dr. Vasilakos participated in a "CERN-Greek Industry meeting", in the framework of Greece's ongoing efforts to improve its industrial returns from the Organization. In the afternoon, he met with the CERN Director-General, Professor Rolf Heuer.
On 4 November, the Secretary-General participated in CERN's closed Council Session, during which the Council selected the Italian physicist, Dr. Fabiola Gianotti, as the Organization's next Director-General.
