Statement on Aarhus Convention by the Permanent Representative of Greece

Permanent Representative Ambassador Alexandros Alexandris gave a statement on 11 March 2014 in the premises of the UN Studio (Palais des Nations), regarding the importance of the Aarhus Convention given the fact that enhancing civic and social engagement is one of the main principles of the Greek Presidency.

In this context the Permanent Representative commented briefly in his statement the views of the Greek EU Presidency in relation to the importance and timeliness of the Aarhus Convention  and the draft Maastricht declaration with a view in particular of the upcoming 5th  Session of the Meeting of the Parties later this year (Maastricht,30 June-2 July 2014).
