The Permanent Representative of Greece, Ambassador Alexis Alexandris, met on February 5th, 2014, with the Director General of the International Labour Office, Mr Guy Ryder.
During the meeting the Ambassador outlined the priorities of the Greek Presidency in the field of Employment and Social Cohesion. The cooperation of Greece with the ILO was also part of the discussion, with Mr Ryder reiterating the ILO’s willingness to be helpful and offer all support that Greece deems necessary. The Director General also welcomed the candidacy of the Ambassador for the Vice-Chairmanship of the 103rd Session of the International Labour Conference, already endorsed by the Western European Group, commenting on it as very positive for Greece.
