In the framework of CERN's 60th Anniversary Celebrations, a Violin and Piano Recital was held at the CERN Main Auditorium on Friday 30 May 2014, featuring Russian violinist Anna Ovsyanikova and Greek pianist Chryssa Kasma, who played compositions by Robert Schumann, Frank Cesar and a selection of Tangos by Astor Piazzola.

The two artists started playing together in 2005 when they were students at the Birmingham Conservatoire. They won their first competition in 2006, while since then they have given numerous recitals and participated in competitions securing prizes across the UK.

The Recital was organized and supported by the ATLAS experiment Greek Institutions, under the auspices of the Permanent Mission of Greece in Geneva.

Greece is one of the twelve founding members of CERN, since 1954.
