Visit of Secretary-General for Science and Technology at CERN

The Secretary-General for Science and Technology of the Hellenic Republic, Dr. Christos Vassilakos, visited CERN on Thursday 12 December 2013, during which he participated in the deliberations of the CERN Council. Moreover, in a separate meeting chaired jointly by the Secretary-General and by Greece’s scientific delegate at the CERN Council, Professor Dimitris Nanopoulos, Greek staff and visiting researchers had the opportunity to exchange views on how to further enrich Greece’s participation in the Organization, with an emphasis on increasing industrial returns for Greek companies.  In the afternoon, Dr. Vassilakos had a meeting with the Director-General of CERN, Dr. Rolf Heuer, during which a wide arrange of issues was discussed, aiming at further enhancing cooperation between the two sides.
