Visit of the Permanent Representative of Greece, Ambassador Alexis Alexandris to the Secretary General of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Mr. Martin Chungong (12.11.2015)

Ambassador Alexis Alexandris met with the Secretary General of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Mr. Martin Chungong on 12 November, in order to discuss the results of the 133th IPU Assembly, held in Geneva on 17-21 October and in which Greece was represented by a cross-party parliamentary delegation (Mrs. M.Triantafyllou, Mr. I. Karagiannis and Mr. K. Chatzidakis).
In this context, they discussed the role of the parliaments in international security, democracy and human rights, the issue of refugees, women in politics, young parliamentarians and sustainable development.
