Working lunch with Western Balkans Ambassadors
The Permanent Representative of Greece Ambassador Alexis ALEXANDRIS has hosted in the residence of the Permanent Mission an unofficial working lunch with Ambassadors of Western Balkan Countries on Monday June 2nd 2014. In his initial remarks, Ambassador Alexandris has focused on the priorities on the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the current semester, including on issue of enhancement of the European Perspective of the Western Balkan region. Greece, since the previous EU Presidency and before that, has been a staunch supporter of this perspective as it is has been also highlighted by holding an EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Conference in Thessaloniki on the 8th of May this year.
A very rich discussion has followed focusing on issues of the wider Geneva agenda including recent developments in Syria, Ukraine and other regions.
