World Trade Organisation-WTO 27th November General Council: Adoption Of Trade Facilitation Agreement

During the 27th November 2014 WTO General Council, there were adopted 3 crucial Decisions for the future of the Organisation :

1) the draft Decision on Public Stockholding for Food Security Purposes, contained in document WT/GC/W/688
2) the draft Decision on the Protocol of Amendment to insert the Trade Facilitation Agreement into Annex 1A of the WTO Agreement, contained in document  WT/PCTF/W/28 and
3) the draft Decision on Post-Bali work, contained in document WT/GC/W/690.
The Greek Delegation actively participated to the mentioned General Council within the framework of the EU Delegation to the WTO.

The WTO Director General Mr. Roberto Azevêdo, warmly congratulated the member-states for adopting the mentioned decisions given that the impasse on adopting them (since July 2014) had almost brought  the Organization to an every-day programme “lethargy”.
