Foreign Secretary of the Philippines, Theodore Locsin Jr. pays tribute to the 200 year anniversary of the Greek Independence and a homage to 3000 years of Greek civilization. From Herodotus, Thucydides, Pericles and Alexander the Great, to Byron, Shelley up to the restoration of democracy in 1975, the Foreign Secretary concludes: 'Greece is eternal, the rest are a passing show'.
