14th Spoke’n’Word Festival

Wednesday, 21 November 2018

"Spoken word poetry is not meant for the book, but for the stage. Spoken word performance combines elements of poetry, theater and music, and may take the form of Beat recitative, rapped lyrics, political speech, autobiographical monologue or fairy tale.

14th Spoke’n’Word Festival brings together artists from Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland.

The invited poets, slam champions and spoken word masters, will talk about ‘Hubble without a cause,’
yoghurt strawberries, nasty emails and perfect rhymes. They will ask important questions. What happens when you go offline? Can you create the singles’ state? Do people in love fall over more often than others? Where’s our joy of life? How many children can you feed with 6 million euro? Can we have one more question? As this edition’s topic, WE HAVE A UNIVERSE HERE, reads, the small Warsaw scene in DZiK will host a universe on Saturday, Dec 1, 2018.
