Alternate Foreign Minister G. Katrougalos visits Portugal (22-23 September 2017)

Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos carried out a visit to Portugal on Friday and Saturday, 22 and 23 September. Mr. Katrougalos met in Lisbon with members of the Portuguese government, including the Secretary of State of European Affairs, Ms. Ana Paula Zacarias, and the Secretary of State of Internationalization, Mr. Eurico Brilhante Dias. There was a convergence of views regarding the need for progressive alliances in Europe for the promotion of the changes in economic governance that will strengthen the democratic and social dimension. Also discussed at the meetings were issues concerning bilateral economic relations, on which there is significant room for improvement.

Mr. Katrougalos also met with Mr. Jorge Pais, the Vice President of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
