Greek War Memorial

In honour of the 195 casualties, the 610 injured and the total of 4.992 Greek men who defended the Republic of Korea during the Korean War, the South Korean government raised the Greek War Memorial in the town of Yeoju in 1974. The names of all 195 men who fell in the Korean Peninsula have been engraved on the wall of remembrance.

Since summer 2018, the Embassy of Greece, in cooperation with the City of Yeoju, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, is intensively working on the relocation of the Memorial in a more suitable location.

The Memorial can be found at the following address (in English and Korean), near a public parking and refuelling space. The entrance is free of charge and accessible at all times.
