2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championship in Chuncheon, South Korea / Participation of Greece

The 14th edition of the World Taekwondo Junior Championships was held in Chuncheon, South Korea at Songam Sports Town Air Dome from 1 to 6 October 2024.

The Hellenic Taekwondo team received the fifth place in the general ranking and the fifth place in the male ranking out of 140 States.

In particular, Mr. Aristides Nikolaos Psarros on Thursday, 3/10/24 became World Teen Taekwondo Champion and was awarded the gold medal in the 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships at the male weightclass -51.

Ms Asimaki Lamprini Anna on Friday, 4/10/24 was awarded the bronze medal in the 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships at the junior female weightclass -49.

Ms Melina Georgiou also demonstrated a remarkable performance at the junior female weightclass -46 kg category, coming close to a medal.

Ms Aidonidou Christina also won the 5th place in Junior World Championship after 4 matches coming so close to a medal in 44kg!

The hellenic participation took place under the sponsorship of the Hellenic Taekwondo Federation.
