Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcement on the missile test carried out by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (28 November 2017)

We categorically condemn the missile test carried out yesterday by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. It is an act that violates international legality and undermines global security and stability.

We call on Pyongyang, which decided yet again to ignore the repeated warnings of the International Community and the relevant United Nations Resolutions, to desist from any new action that could jeopardise peace and security in the region, and to return immediately to the negotiating table on the future of its nuclear and missile programmes.

We again express our readiness to cooperate with our international partners in order to ensure that every necessary measure be taken for the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and to avert the illegal transfer of military know-how and materials.
