Seoul International Drama Awards

In a splendid ceremony, on September 21, at the KBS Hall in Seoul, Seoul International Drama Awards, an institution that started in 2008 and includes a red carpet and awards ceremony, announced the 2023 winners.

In this year's contest, Greece won one of the most prestigious distinctions of the competition, the Best TV Series Award, for the ERT series "Act Like You're Asleep", a psychological thriller series, directed by Alekos Kyranis and Marios Valasis.

The ERT series competed with 344 entries from 44 countries.

The award was received in a dazzling award ceremony by the member of the Board of ERT, Mr. Nino Elmazioglou and the Screenwriter of the series, Mr. John Skaragas.

The award had broad media coverage, not only in South Korea, but also in other Far Eastern Asian countries that participated in the competition, such as China and the Philippines. The award ceremony was broadcasted live on KBS 2TV as well as the awards' official channel on UTUBE.

This outstanding award highlights Greece's great contemporary potential in screenwriting and acting, which are based on the country's long-established culture of excellence.
