UN Forces Participation Day and 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Commemoration Ceremony (Seoul ) July 24-26, (Busan) July 26-28

It was an honor and an privilege for the Embassy of Greece to participate in the festivities organized for the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement and the UN Forces Participation Day.

Seventy-three years ago Veterans of United Nations Command defended freedom on the Korean peninsula and the international rules-based order. Some 2 million military personnel from over 20 countries among which the Greek Expeditionary Force came to Korea's aid, risking their lives fighting on the front lines and tending to the fallen.

Greece remembers those who fought and laid down their lives to defend our sacred, shared values of freedom and democracy.
