Completion of works for the restoration and renovation of the Memorial of the fallen heroes in the battle of Dragatsani, 26.9.15

On the occasion of the completion of works for the restoration and renovation of the Memorial of the fallen heroes, that is the Greek students that fell in the battle of Dragatsani, in 1821, the Ambassador, Mr. Vassiloconstandakis, attended a ceremony in Dragatsani, on 26/9/2015. The ceremony was also attended – among others- by the Mayor, the Governor of the Central Bank of Romania Mr. Isarescu (who comes from Dragatsani), the President of the Hellenic Union of Romania and Deputy of the Romanian Parliament Mr. Zisopoulos, the Chief Executive Officer of Piraeus Bank in Romania Mr. Pirvu and the General Manager and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Piraeus Bank in Romania Mr. Psathas. The renovation works of the Dragatsani Memorial, necessary every 25-30 years (the latest took place in 1992) have been kindly sponsored by Piraeus Bank Romania.
