Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis meets with the Ambassador of Romania, George Ciamba (30 June 2020)

Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis today met with the Romanian Ambassador to Greece, George Ciamba. During the meeting, they talked about European issues, with particular emphasis on the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and the EU Recovery Fund. They also discussed the response to Covid-19, the opening of EU borders to citizens of third countries, and the bolstering of tourism. The issue of the European Green Deal was also touched upon.

Finally, during the meeting, the Alternate Minister briefed his interlocutor on the priorities of the Greek Chairmanship of the Council of Europe.
