Ministry of Foreign Affairs announcement on the recent attacks at the Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia (20 September 2019)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns last week’s attacks against the Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

We express our concern regarding their potential impact on stability in the region and on global energy security. Such actions endanger the safety of citizens and aggravate the situation in a region already characterised by tension.

Greece calls for the greatest possible restraint and supports all efforts towards de-escalating tensions, so as to enhance regional stability, ensure peace and provide effective response to any arbitrary and extreme provocations against peace and good neighbourly relations.
