Verification of the authenticity of foreign documents

Saudi Arabia is not a State party to the Hague Convention and documents issued by Saudi authorities (ex. tax residence certificates issued by Zakat) need to be certified by the Embassy in order to be used in Greece.  Once a document has been first certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, the Embassy can certify the signature of the MOFA official. The same procedure is followed regarding documents issued by Yemeni authorities, while for documents issued by Omani authorities the Hague Convention is applicable.
