Event “Wine Upon a Time” in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy (14/11)

The Embassies of Italy and Greece in Singapore organized the event “Wine Upon a Time” on 14/11 at the Asian Civilisations Museum.

Speeches were given by the Ambassador of Italy Mr Langella on the origins of Italian wines and by Ambassador Koliou on the beginnings of wine in Ancient Greece, on relevant archeological findings and on the role of “oinos” (wine) in the cultural and social life of Ancient Greece.

A roundtable followed, moderated by Dr. Trisha Craig (Vice President (Engagement) of Yale, NUS College), with speeches from Associate Professor Mira Seo (Yale, NUS), Associate Professor Enrico Petretto (Duke, NUS Medical School) and Dr. Riccardo Velasco (Director of CREA center for Viticulture and Enology).

Italian and Greek wines were also offered.
